Kathak
A gentle, graceful class for movement, memory, and mindfulness. Come as you are, with no dance experience needed.
GUNJAN, our annual recital, brings every class to the stage with live musicians, full costume, awards, and diploma recognition for students who have earned it.
Full-length productions of Ramayana, Krishna Leela, and Shiva Parvati, told through Kathak, dialogue, and live music, with students cast on stage and trained backstage.
Bright costumes and high-energy routines from our tiny tots through the ladies’ class, with choreography rehearsed across the program year.
Focused sessions on Jaipur Gharana technique, from tatkar and chakkars to layakaari, for dancers ready to sharpen their footwork and expression.
My daughter started Kathak at five, and I was sure she would lose interest by winter. Two years later she ties her own ghunghroos, counts taals at the dinner table, and asks her grandmother for the stories she dances in class. Ruchi ji expects a lot, and the children rise to it.
Parent of a Kathak student, age 7
I joined the ladies’ Bollywood class after twenty years away from dance, and I was nervous on the first night. Nobody watched me stumble, and everyone cheered when I got a step right. By the second month I was laughing through every routine. It has become the best hour of my week.

Our son played a monkey soldier in Ramayana and spent the next year asking when he could audition for a bigger role. The backstage training surprised us most. He learned cues, props, and how a whole production holds together. Dancing GUNJAN with live musicians felt like a real theater night.
